This month you will learn some of the reality of making video games.
We will be using a game/sim called Game Dev Tycoon.
THIS IS NOT AN EASY GAME. YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION.
It’s ok to fail and make some bad games. Many of the great game companies still mess up.
Two small tips: Bugs are bad and game reports are good. We prefer you try to make a few games before you ask for help.
Instead of completing steps, you will work to complete the following milestones. You may not finish all of them but you must try:
Milestone 1
Make a game that averages a 5 rating.
Milestone 2
Make enough money to get out of the garage and buy an office
Milestone 3
Publish a hit that sells 500k copies.
Milestone 4
Survive for 10 years.
Milestone 5
Win an award for a game.
