Game Design is a perfect hobby and passion for people of all ages. To expand the reach of game design benefits, VGDC is now offering the following programs. We’ve been asked countless times for these kinds of programs and are now offering them to the north Alabama market.
Game Design is a highly competitive job market. While it’s unlikely your employees will leave to work for the game industry, the principles learned in design, coding, storytelling and documentation will create happier, smarter, and more fulfilled team members.
Reduced or Free Youth VGDC Plans
Participating companies can acquire reduced or free memberships for their employee’s children. A Company Subscription fee allows the company to send a set amount of families’ children to the Club at either a highly reduced rate or free depending on the Subscription chosen.
Available Company Subscriptions are purchased in Beneficiary increments:
$500 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships for only $140 per month, a $55 reduction per child
$1000 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships for only $100 per month, a $95 reduction per child
$1600 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships for at no cost to the families benefitting
$150 per Member
If more than 10 want to join, each beneficiary is covered by the plan and free to the family
Beginner Adult VGDC Classes
We take much of the programming we provide to youth and upgrade the pace to an adult’s level and commitment. This plan allows parents of members to try the same sessions or adults simply interested in “dabbling” in game design as a fun hobby. Adults don’t spend on themselves so these are paid by the Company.
$1900 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships at our location at no cost to them. Sessions may include other company beneficiaries.
$2400 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships at your location at no cost to them. We bring the instructors to you.
$200 per member
If more than 10 want to join, each beneficiary is covered by the plan. This can flex upward but cannot go below the previous price.
Intermediate Adult VGDC Classes
This plan is for adults who are seriously interested in building published games one day. While it’s unlikely to become their new job, it is an intellectually compelling hobby and may build skills they can use internally in the Company.
This plan focuses specifically on building games inside the Unreal Engine.
$2400 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships at our location at no cost to them. Sessions may include other company beneficiaries.
$2900 per month
Up to 10 beneficiaries get 3 session memberships at your location at no cost to them. We bring the instructors to you.
$250 per member
If more than 10 want to join, each beneficiary is covered by the plan. This can flex upward but cannot go below the previous price.
Advanced Adult VGDC Classes
These are high level classes focused on inviduals who need to improve existing Unreal Engine skills or build a working knowledge of the Engine for professional use at the Company.
These classes will have Certified Unreal Instructors from across the country teaching remotely, accompanied by in-person experts as well.
$500 per member
This program requires a minimum of 10 participants getting 3 sessions per month. At least 1 session per month is lead by a Certified Instructor.
